Fabricated support beams used in Christchurch Wastewater Treatment Plant:
These were fabricated from 300 x 3.0 Flat Bar with 80 x 30 channel top and bottom with 80 x 45 x5 I Beam in the centre. These beams span the main sedimentation tanks to provide support for the air-tight covers:
Note the main ridge runs approximately 18 metres with the rafters spanning approximately 3 metres each.
