Q.E. II Boat/Slide Project : (The boat that will never float)

This was a fun/challenging project.  We were approached by a design engineer who asked if we could build a 40 foot Two Masted Galleon of Medieval time, in 3 weeks. (we laughed)

However, as part of the main theme of the upgrade at the Christchurch QE II Pool Complex we accepted the challenge.

All components in the construction of this project are FRP Pultruded sections with wound pipework making the Mast, Crossarms and the Bow Sprit.

Christchurch City Council and project engineers agree this is the main feature and makes the pool theme come to life.  In operation a water jet sprays out from the wrecked bow and water  falls from the buckets mounted on the crossarms and the kids don't want to go home.
